Section 2

Tournament Regulations and Information:

• 1. The competition shall be played under the ITTF Laws of Table Tennis, together with the National By-Laws (Table Tennis England Regulation A section 2). ITTF Regulations for International Competition apply only to those matters specified below and can be found at www.ittf.com/constitutional-implementation-programme/regulations-and-rules/
• 2. Rackets. ITTF Regulations 3.2.1.3 and 3.4.2.2 apply. List of Approved Rackets Coverings can be found at https://ittf.cdnomega.com/eu/2019/05/LARC-2019A-FINAL.pdf
• 3. Intervals. ITTF Regulations 3.4.4.1, 3.4.4.1.1 and 3.4.4.1.2 apply (this does NOT include time outs)
• 4. Clothing. ITTF Regulations 3.2.2.1, 3.2.2.2, 3.2.2.5 and 3.2.2.6 apply.
• 5. Determination of groups. ITTF Regulation 3.7.5 applies
  
• 6. Entrants in the BATTS/VETTS Rating must be 40 years of age or over on 1st January in the current Table Tennis England Membership Year and must be a member of the VETTS.

• 7. Completion and submission of the entry form signifies agreement by the entrant to the conditions of the competition.
• 8. Main colour of clothing must be different from colour of ball
• 9. No gluing of rackets allowed at the venue.
• 10. There are no Time-outs at this event.
• 11. The organiser can accept no responsibility for injuries to competitors or for the loss of any personal possessions during the competition.
• 12. No competitor or official shall engage in betting on players or matches.
• 13. Doping shall not take place either before or during play, but doping control tests may take place.
• 14. Completion and submission of this Entry Form signifies agreement by the entrant to the conditions of the competition including any variations of VETTS regulations.
  
• 15. Playing conditions Play will be on 8 Tibhar tables with Tibhar posts and nets, tournament balls will be Yinhe H40+ 3* VETTS approved, score indicators will be used for all matches.
  Each table will be in an individual court enclosed by surrounds and will be 4.7 metres wide by 9.9 metres in length.
  The minimum height of playing area is 8 metres and the minimum height of lighting from floor is 8 metres, lighting is general LED, flooring is semi-sprung timber
• 16. Each match will consist of best of 5 games, each game up to 11 points with a 2 point difference to decide the winner. All players will compete in a group of 6 unless there are player absences
• 17. There will be no separate practice facilities, but competitors will be permitted to practice on match tables at the discretion of the referee
• 18. The Organisers and the Referee will not tolerate bad language or verbal abuse of volunteers, officials, staff or venue staff, nor a failure to follow the operational directions of stewards and event staff. We will treat all such instances extremely seriously and will take disciplinary action if necessary
• 19. Photo/livestreaming Batts TT Club may be taking photos and live streaming matches during this event which may include (but not limited to), using them in our printed and online platforms, social media, press releases and funding applications. If you do not give permission to take photographs and/or video of you (or individuals for whom you are legally responsible), please contact: carl.johnson.batts@gmail.com
• 20. If it becomes necessary to restrict entries, priority will be given in order of receipt.
• 21. All competitors will be required to sign in upon their arrival, should not leave the centre without notifying the referee. Players absent when due to play are liable to be scratched from their next match. Practice will only be permitted prior to the event starting
• 22. There will be no charge for admission.
• 23. Changing facilities: changing rooms with showers are available, lockers are not available.
  The centre is not liable for any personal property left unattended
• 24. Refreshments and food are available to purchase from our cafeteria located upstairs on the first floor with a viewing gallery, any drinks spilled in the playing hall must be cleaned up immediately, free WiFi is available at the venue
• 25. Parking, onsite hard-standing parking is available, with additional parking on a nearby field (at your own risk due to possible wet or muddy conditions).
  Extra parking is also available at The Green Man Pub/Hotel car park.
  There are no parking charges for players or spectators, but please ensure access for emergency services is not obstructed.
• 26. The Green Man Hotel is also convenient for overnight stay.
• 27. The full entry fee £21.00 will not be refunded 1 week prior to the closing date.
• 28. VETTS comply with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), and our Data Privacy Policy can be found on https://www.vetts.org.uk/. By entering this event, you are registering your acceptance of our policy regarding your personal data.
• 29. The Referee’s decision shall be final on points of law on any question not provided for in these regulations, or in any dispute as to the interpretation thereof. Decisions on points of fact by an umpire appointed by the referee shall be final.
